Making the best of your cell-phone camera!

Have you ever thought to yourself “I should’ve brought my big camera.”? I know I have!! But who goes anywhere these days without their cell phone? Here are a few tips to make the best out of your cell phone camera!

While I love simple snapshots, I also like to get creative with my iPhone! I play with angles, lighting, and of course I always try to keep my subject interesting!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE photography related iPhone apps (I wrote a post about my favorite iPhone apps a few weeks ago). I literally have about 45 of them (I know, it’s ridiculous). There are so many to choose from, but a few of my favorite camera/editing apps are Hipstamatic (I have purchased all of the hipstapaks), Luminance, Snapseed, VSCO Cam, Camera+ (I purchased the in-app add-ons), and Diptic. You can do SO much with the editing apps!

Another simple way to boost the images you get from your cell phone camera is to purchase an external lens! I bought this super fun 3-lens combo from www.photojojo.com, and I have been having a lot of fun with them! You can choose a fisheye lens, a 2x telephoto, or a wide-angle/macro combo. You can buy them together or individually! My favorite is the fisheye, because it gives that fun, distorted look to your images!

Even if your cell phone camera isn’t the best quality, you can still capture those memories! Make the most of those images by getting creative with apps and lens add-ons!
