Mobile Monday: Sisters

Only one picture taken with my cell phone from last week. I was not feeling the greatest (tooth) and didn’t have my head working right for me. The one I do have to share was taken Saturday, when I had a girls’ afternoon with my two sisters.

I am the middle of three girls, and fortunately, we are all pretty close. My older sister lives in Raleigh, NC and my younger sister lives in a small town about an hour from me. We don’t get to be together that much, especially all three at once, but we try to make a concerted effort this time of year.

What is significant about this time of year? Well, our mother died on Easter Sunday, which was April 11 in 1993, and our father died March 30th of 2009. With their anniversaries of their passing so close together, we try to meet up and just be together, to retell old stories, to laugh and cry with each other.

Another thing you may not know about me is that I’m an Army brat. I grew up moving about every three years. So often when people hear that they say “oh, that’s terrible, you poor thing.” However, I think it was a very good thing for our family; it made us be closer, to depend on each other more.

What about you? Do you have a brother or sister you are close with?

Special Note: I know it’s been a while since I’ve had a tutorial out, but your patience will be rewarded! I have two editing tutorials this week, plus a special Facebook timeline post from a guest contributor, so stay tuned!
