This week I shared five things to know about memory cards at Tech Your Way, with tips for buying and using them. I thought it would be fun to share with you which card is my favorite AND give one away!
I started out using Sans Disk cards but switched over to using Lexar soon after. Why? I am not sure why, quite honestly. Lexar seemed to be the ones more professional photographers used, so I simply followed the leader. Sad, but true.
All that said, I have yet to have a Lexar card fail (be corrupted) and I’m always pleased with the write time (how long it takes the image to be saved to the memory card in your camera).
I am currently in Charlotte, NC, for my third and final trip in just four weeks! It has been very hard to keep up with posting this month, so doing a giveaway will help alleviate my guilt and hopefully make someone a happy photographer/enthusiast.
What is the prize? Either a Lexar 8 GB CF card or a Lexar 8 GB SD card (depends on winner’s camera). GIVEAWAY IS OVER.
Congratulations to Hope, who had winning comment number #48!

I think I own about five or six. I have two for my DSLR and a couple for my point and shoot cameras. They are all different sizes but I find that I can never have enough cards! 🙂
I have about 3 cards – I rotate thru them just in case 🙂
I have 8…I always leave extras lying around everywhere. (car, camera bag, by computer) JUST IN CASE
Im constantly buying new cards! I can never erase what’s on them, no matter how old…that kinda makes me a hoarder huh! lol
I own 2 – 4GB San Disk memory cards and 2 512MB San Disk memory cards. I’ve never tried Lexar. I loved your post! I’m still trying to soak up as much knowledge as I can about photography. Thank you!
I have 2 SD cards for my Nikon D90. Also a couple of micro sticks for my Sony point & shoot. The SD cards never failed me but I have a couple of microsticks that became unusable. I discovered your website today.
I have 4, or more. I misplace them.
I have 2 non-lexar SD cards. Both are 4GB and i am going to have to get another larger one for upcoming trip. Recently retired early – photography is a passion. I found your site and have enjoyed your tutorials and information about PSE.
I have 3 cards but only one that I love.
