A Walk in The Woods With My Husband

We live on an farm with a fair amount of land, and yesterday my husband drug me out to go tromping through some of it with him. Of course, I toted along my camera and captured a few shots.

As we were walking, a few thoughts went through my mind….

  • Wish I had brought a long a hat because of ticks; I kept feeling like something was crawling in my hair.
  • The D700 gets heavy after you’ve been walking for a while, especially up hills and through bushes.
  • What are we going to do if we happen upon coyotes (they’re rampant here)? Oh, we’ll be okay, I’ll just swing the D700 at them, that thing can do some damage!

We had a lovely walk, but it’s sad to know I have to brave the ticks and coyotes to get alone time with my husband.

Okay, enough of that and on to pictures. Below are a couple of shots from our walk. There wasn’t too much of interest, but I did find a little Lady Bug which I gladly layered with some textures.

Have you been on photo walk lately? Capture any interesting shots? Leave me the address to the shot at your Flickr or blog and I’ll pop over and visit. I love to see shots taken from my Everyday Elements friends!

I live on a farm, too! I did go for a walk today. It was BEAUTIFUL! I let the chickens out of their pen, too, and they were very excited about it! Hilarious, as they pick their way through the snow! …….Please don’t pick on me about my processing. I’m signed up for your March 27 Beginner’s Class. 🙂

    • Sandy, your picture was sweet!! Thank you for sharing it with me.

Want to hear something funny? My sister once took like 120 pictures of chickens trying to get just the right shot. Hope you didn’t take that many! 😉 LOL

For what it’s worth, I only critique pictures added to the private Flickr group, so feel free to share any pics with me and have no fear!

  2. It’s so neat to see what your husband looks like – :). LOVE the ladybug pic.

  3. Our home is surrounded by woods and I love it; for me, this is the start of a new photography season. My favorite subject is flowers and I can see that our cherry blossoms are getting pink! I’m so excited. Love the lady bug.
