Rock the Shot, a wonderful photography forum, has asked me back again to provide a lesson on clean editing. I decided to teach a few of the ways Levels can be a blessing to your workflow, and five of the seven edits are done with just Levels!
To see the tutorial, with video, and download the picture to practice, click HERE.
The post provides a download link for the picture, so you can try to replicate the edit steps I teach in the tutorial. There is also a video at the end that shows me doing the edit first in Photoshop CS5 then in PSE 10.
If you did not already see it, you might want to check out my first “Clean Edit Challenge,” too.
Once you have edited the picture, if you would like some constructive criticism from me, feel free to post it to EE’s Facebook page (or Rock the Shot’s).
When I found this site I was really excited since I am a PSE newbie, but I can’t see any of the pictures 🙁 I updated my computer thinking something was out of date but it didn’t work. Will check back again soon and hopefully they will work, maybe it is just my computer, but it also didn’t show up on my google reader on my phone 🙁
When I follow these steps on a picture of my own and get to the part to brush on my face to reduce the effect, nothing happens. What simple thing could I be doing wrong?
I have the same problem not sure what I’m doing. I love all of the tutorials though!
Thank you so much for this tutorial and letting us use your picture to help. I learned so much from this tutorial! I feel like I am becoming an expert at my PSE9 that I have had for two years!
