When my niece Delanie was critically injured in a car accident May 2nd, I was up at the hospital continually. For weeks I took my D700 up there, in case there were pictures I would want to capture. Well, after a few weeks of that, I got tired of lugging it back and forth, so I bought a Canon G12 point and shoot camera, something I could fit in my pocket book and not feel burdened down with.
I love the G12, really love it, and keep it with me at all times. However, I needed a better way to keep a hold of the G12. I think it came with a skinny neck or wrist strap (not really sure, I just remember seeing what they had in the box and thinking no way!) that I was not going to use. So, I just held it in my hands for the first couple of weeks, not so safe for this mom who tends to bump into things and drop stuff.
Now, back in April I had ordered a wrist strap for my D700 from My Funky Camera but had not yet put it on. So, instead of putting it on the D700, I put it on the G12. It works great for that heavier-than-most-P&S cameras and reassures me that my camera is safe and secure when hanging on my wrist. And, on top of that, it looks GREAT! So much more hip than the boring wrist straps that come with cameras or that you can buy at an electronics store.
I have enjoyed this little wrist strap so much that I am giving away a $25 gift certificate to My Funky Camera to a lucky Everyday Elements reader. This is a gift certificate that I will purchase and email to the winner after the giveaway closes.

It’s hard to pick just one because I love anything with chocolate and peanut butter or mint. I never considered peppermint patties a “candybar” maybe because they are flat and round, but they would be the favorite, then Reeses pb cups (still not a candybar?), and then (and I don’t see that anyone has said that they like…3 Musketeers – Light, fluffy, chocolaty, yummy (actually a candybar)….You just can’t have 1 favorite.
My absolute favorite candy (I love kid candy) is banana Laffy Taffy!!
