I bought version 10 the day after it came out and I have been very pleased with the new features they added to the program.
- Rule of Thirds grid and other overlays to the crop tool
- Type tool that allow text to follow circular paths
- Improved speed and flow of Organizer
- Ability to access Facebook friends list for tagging images in Organizer, for later upload to Facebook
- More templates for creating collages and photo albums
At the very bottom of this post, there is a video giving a little tour of Photoshop Elements 10.
A question asked a lot when a new version of Photoshop Elements is released is: “Should I upgrade?” Here is my .02 worth on it:
- If you have PSE 7 or older, definitely upgrade. So much has been added and enhanced that it is worth the money to upgrade.
- If you have PSE 8 or PSE 9, no, I probably wouldn’t upgrade. Honestly, if you have some extra funds, I would recommend buying Lightroom 3 to use in combination with your PSE, rather than upgrading to PSE 10.

Fall is my favorite season, but then in the Spring, Spring is my favorite season!
I love Christmas!!! In fact I walked through Walmart yesterday, and already started getting all glowy inside!!
I love autumn – the weather is usually perfect after a long hot summer. It’s wonderful to sit outside late in the afternoon and enjoy the spectacular sunsets.
For me it’s Spring. Full of promise and new colour. I love watching the first buds on the trees and the flowers coming out.

My favorite season is spring. I love when the huge piles of dirty snow disappear, everything starts greening up & growing again, and all the beautifully colored flowers start blooming.
I guess I have to say I like summer best, due to the extended days and warm weather.

The main reason I wanted to upgrade is because of the organizer. I use my laptop as well as my desktop for editing. There was some crazy setting on the organizer that if you’re Computer screen wasn’t a certain “size” you couldn’t get to the advance options for choosing which pictures to upload. That has been fixed in 10. Woohooo. No more deleting on the camera or AFTER they’ve already been uploaded.

I have PSE8, but lost the disc. I switched computers and Adobe says I have to order the newest version. They won’t ship a replacement disc or provide a download. I’m using the PSE10 trial version now. Thanks for the chance & the site looks great! 🙂
I am a FALL lovin’ fool. I love when the temp drops a few degrees and you have to wear a jacket and then we can talk all day long about color changes! Oh yeah! Fall for me!!!
Every time I try and think if which season is my favorite, I get stuck, because there are things that I love about all of them. Can I just say I like them all? 🙂

Autumn, without a doubt! I love the light, the colors, and the chill in the air…the hayrides, bonfires, and fall cookouts!
My favourite season is Spring because it means that we will be leaving the city to spend from May till September at our trailer in the wilds by a lake shore where I can relax, take pictures, do whatever I want……………………………….. heaven!

Thanks Amanda! I really like the idea of the text to shape tool, and the rule of thirds overlay..but I don’t think it’s enough to upgrade from 9. I wonder if they’ll make it so we can ungroup layers without a plug-in ever? That would be nice.
Will that text on a shape work without adding the shape yourself? Like say, I have an image of a tree, and I want the text to follow along the branch? I’ve seen it done, but not in Elements. I like the changes all the seasons bring here in Maine-but I am definitely a summer girl and love the beach and the sunshine!!!! I have PSE7-so I could really use an Update!!! (Keeping fingers crossed):)
My favorite season is fall. The crisp chill in the air, the smell of wood fires burning, beautiful shades of color, snow in the mountains and that tantalizing perfume of snow in the air. Yes, fall is definitely my favorite season!
My fave time of the year is fall. We’re in the South, so we don’t get much of a fall. I have PSE 6, so I would love an update!!!!!!
I can’t ever decide between fall and spring! The warmth after the cold dead winter is so welcome… but it’s so quickly HOT here in SC (as you know). But the fall stays cool for longer.

I love winter!!! My baby girl was born Christmas Day, which makes it that much more special to us 🙂 And since I live in Wisconsin winter last for about 6 months around here, so we just have to embrace it lol!

My favorite season is Fall! I think its a second summer in terms of how vibrant it is here where I life. Orange, red, yellow, brown, even purple! It’s so beautiful.

I’m in the south and Summer can be a bit too hot. I personally LOVE Spring, the flowers bloom, the kids can go outside more without being bundled up, etc. I’d love to upgrade my PSE!
