Prime Focus On You Spring Workshop

We are very excited to announce that another Prime Focus On You workshop is planned for the spring and joining us will be

ERIN COBB!

ABOUT ERIN

Erin is an established, successful photographer who has been in business for five years. Her business has grown so much that she recently moved into her own studio, which she named “The Cottage.” On top of her thriving photography business, Erin also has a wonderful teaching DVD for Photoshop and Photoshop Elements called Clean Color.

I met Erin when we were both speakers at The Blographer Event, put on by Adorama. I already knew of and respected Erin from seeing her work online and hearing rave reviews of her Clean Color DVD, and I liked her immediately! She is sweet, gracious, knowledgeable and confident. Before I even left New York, I was thinking about how we could team up to work together.

The first Prime workshop was a wonderful experience and received extremely positive reviews, but when Jill and I started doing some planning for the next one we knew we needed to bring in an additional lead instructor. My very first thought went to Erin. After I approached her about it, I held my breath while she considered the proposal; I went to cloud nine when she accepted a few days later!

WHAT IS NEW

In addition to including Erin as feature speaker/teacher, the spring workshop will be a bit longer than our fall workshop and include more “break-out” sessions so that the learning can be specific to what attendees need or want.  Each session time slot will offer three to four session topics, however notes for all sessions will be provided in the workshop workbook.

Below is general information about the March Prime workshop. Exact session topics will be announced closer to the event.

WHEN

March 1 – March 3, 2013.

The Newberry Firehouse Conference Center in Newberry, South Carolina was a wonderful facility which met all our needs so we are reserving it again for our spring workshop. The Saturday evening shoot will be held at Amanda’s home in rural Saluda, SC.

WHAT

We do not yet have all the specific sessions identified, but we are working on a list of 25 possible break-out sessions that attendees will get to choose from. The topics all relate to photography (flash and natural light), editing and workflow, and business and marketing. As we get closer to the event we will release specific session titles.

Attendees: Enthusiastic hobbyists, planning-to-go professional or established professional photographers. To keep the workshop personal and allow everyone to get the assistance they would like, we are keeping the group small with only 30 attendee spots available.

Comments

  1. Amanda, how in the world do you find the time? This workshop looks amazing. I wish I could go… One of these days, when the kids are bigger, I am going to go to one of your workshops. Rita

  2. This is my Christmas wishlist! So nervous about being around other photographers – everything I’ve learned has been from reading books, emailing with a couple of photographers and reading blogs like yours. Thanks for all of your help.

  3. I’m hoping this will be my birthday gift. I just have no sense of direction. I may not be able to find my way home. Hmm, that may be why my husband said ” this could be your birthday gift” lol. I’m nervous.
