Share Your Pictures via Photo Link-up Parties {memes}

Do you have a shot from this week that you just love and want to share with others? Pop over to Love That Shot and put in the link to your picture. I am joining in this week with a shot of my daughter I grabbed yesterday, of her on the little swing my kids tied to a plum tree.

Looking to share your beautiful photography with others? Or maybe improve your photography and editing by entering challenges or theme parties? I thought it might be helpful for those newer to blogging or photography to have a list of the photo-related link parties (also called “memes”).

Show {Off} Your Shot, a Friday picture party hosted by Rachel at And Then, She {Snapped}. Link up your favorite image from the past week, but try to share something about the picture like how you captured or edited it.

and then, she {snapped}

Fix It Friday at I Heart Faces. They provide you with a picture to “fix” and you post it to your blog or Flickr and link up for others to see it too.

Give Me Your Best Shot by Lolli at Better in Bulk. Basically, give her your “best shot.” 🙂

PhotoStory Friday
Hosted by Cecily and Lolli

Show Your Skills by me. 🙂 Take the image provided and edit it as you see fit. Most weeks I manage to visit all entries and provide feedback. A small giveaway benefiting another photography related business is usually held, with one entry being chosen at random.

Show your Skills at Everyday Elements

Sweet Shot Tuesday held by Darcy at My3Boybarians. Post any shot from the last week, the one you think is just a “sweet shot.” Most week there is a giveaway hosted, with one of the link entries being chosen at random as the winner.

Sweet Shot Day

Thursday Link Up held by Misti and Michelle at Love That Shot. You are encouraged to share any picture from the last week that you especially love.

You Capture by Beth at I Should Be Folding Laundry. Assignments or themes are given each week.

Do you know of any other photography memes or link-up parties/challenges? Leave the site address in a comment and I will add it to this list.

    • Thank you!! I will add those tomorrow morning. I love macro photography and need to do more of it since the lens on my camera 90% of the time is the 60 mm f2.8 macro lens. LOL

  4. This photo is great! I can never get back-lit photos to look right. What’s your secret?

    • Rachel,
      Thank you! The thing that helps me is the get in closer and meter off the skin, then back up and compose, ignoring the meter that is telling me I’ve got it wrong. I take the shot anyway, knowing I put it where I wanted it. Does that make sense?

    I’m not sure if this is exactly the same, but Pioneer Woman has photo assignments and challenges from time to time on her blog. They are generally theme based, and the entries are amazing.

  6. Beautiful photo, such a wonderful moment captured.
