Photoshop Elements 10

Welcome to the all NEW and majorly improved Everyday Elements! Once everything is settled, I will do a post giving a little tour, showing what has changed, where to find what you need.

To celebrate Everyday Elements new site, I am giving away a copy of

Photoshop Elements 10!

I bought version 10 the day after it came out and I have been very pleased with the new features they added to the program.

  • Rule of Thirds grid and other overlays to the crop tool
  • Type tool that allow text to follow circular paths
  • Improved speed and flow of Organizer
  • Ability to access Facebook friends list for tagging images in Organizer, for later upload to Facebook
  • More templates for creating collages and photo albums

At the very bottom of this post, there is a video giving a little tour of Photoshop Elements 10.

A question asked a lot when a new version of Photoshop Elements is released is: “Should I upgrade?” Here is my .02 worth on it:

  • If you have PSE 7 or older, definitely upgrade. So much has been added and enhanced that it is worth the money to upgrade.
  • If you have PSE 8 or PSE 9, no, I probably wouldn’t upgrade. Honestly, if you have some extra funds, I would recommend buying Lightroom 3 to use in combination with your PSE, rather than upgrading to PSE 10.

  27. I love fall. Things get very cozy here in the Pacific Northwest.

  28. Lauren Cintron says:

My favorite used to be spring but I think this year, I’ve changed it to fall. Living in Florida, we don’t get some of the visual benefits as other states but I love the crisp in the air, starbucks pumpkin latte (haha!) and I think the excitement of knowing that there is a holiday for three months in a row!

  29. I love WINTER! I love everything about winter, the snow, the nip in the air, the clothes, snowmen, snowball fights, fires in the fireplace, and snuggling up with my husband and son watching A White Christmas, while drinking hot chocolate! My husband is in the military and we move a lot and only get to see family once a year at Christmas time. Every year we take a big family trip up into the mountains to see snow and go skiing\snowboarding. It’s a time of the year that I look forward to more than anything else. 🙂

  30. Fall! I love the colors…burnt orange, deep red, yellow, & brown. I love to see the colors on the trees and the falling leaves. I love the crisp mornings, pumpkin chai tea, and the crackle of the fire. I love the fog and the first light frost. I love Fall!

  40. Fall is my favorite!! I married my husband in Fall!!!

  41. Winter! I love Christmas time. 🙂

  42. Love, love, love Spring when the flowers start blooming!

  43. Fall is the best. It’s so beautiful here in the Northwest!

  44. Amanda Estep says:

First of all, I just found you through a friend on Facebook TODAY so I’m REALLY excited to browse your website!! Thanks for the hard work on your site 🙂

I actually love winter. As a photographer, I like the challenge it brings to find new, beautiful and interesting things to capture. I like when it snows how the colors of cardinals, bluejays, blue birds and other animals is so bright against the white snow. Winter is all about rejuvenating and replenshing…preparation! I love sledding and skating with the family. Gives my husband NO excuse to not cuddle with me after, lol! 😉 And cooking comfort food!! Mmm!

  45. Have always loved spring, because it brings with it new beginnings. But since moving to a colder climate where the seasons are more defined I’m learning to appreciate fall more and more every day. The rusty colours of the trees are just too beautiful not to capture on camera!

  46. Summer! love the heat, the long days and the fun opportunity to shoot a variety of people and places.

  47. I love Spring for the warmer days and cooler afternoons and gorgeous vivid colours. It just feels new.

  48. Shannon H says:

I love summer… warm days, flip flops, family times, boating, beach, grilling and all that good stuff.

  49. Spring! Vivid colours, warmer days and cooler afternoon/evenings.

  50. Each of the season’s has a wonderfulness to them. I would say the short lived beginning of each season is my favorite. The quietness of the first snowfall of Winter…the first signs of Spring, like a hush of warm air that’s different…the need to wear a sweater and want a warm cup of coffee with hazlenut cream in the Fall and the lighting of the first BBQ in Summer, there’s something about that smell….ymmmm!
